Exquisite Hand Carved Teak Root Coffee Table. This Is A One Of A Kind Gem. With An Uncommon, Yet Highly Coveted Symetrical Bottom,This Table Was Carved From A Single Piece Of Teak Root. Approximately 3 Years Were Taken To Complete This Piece From Extraction Of The Root Until Completion. Six Men Were Hired To Remove This Root. It Then Spent 2 Years Drying While Being Cleaned And Prepped For Carving. The Next Year Was Spent Carving The Beautiful Details Into The Top Of The Root. The Artist’s Hands Were Guided Through The Piece By Intuition And Inspiration. The Wood’s Grain and Features Are What Inspires The Artist During The Carving Process. The Tools Are Guided Over The Piece As Running Water Flows Through A Brook. The Finished Piece Is Fitted With A Thick Custom Cut Free-Form Glass Top.
